Penlan Coastal Cottages' first wedding
I think it is fitting that our first blog should be about my youngest daughter getting married at Penlan Coastal Cottages. A lovely ceremony was carried out at St. Cynwyls Church in Aberporth with the Rev. Chris Frost officiating and wonderful floral decorations created especially for the wedding (lilac and white) by Rosemary and Maureen - thank you.
The wedding was in a marquee with a rustic theme and a field full of circus games to entertain. A lovely day and a beautiful backdrop to make everything magical. Pimms to welcome everyone and music played by a father and daughters group of violinists called Bridge Strings( I could have listened to them all day). Once they had finished the band Los Devitos played until the early hours when Danny took over with a selection of favourite music to suit everyone and keep them grooving.
A barbecue and later a hog roast for the evening guests and a table laden down with sweet treats. A beautiful wedding cake made by Martin Radley of Queens Bakeries who has made almost every birthday cake for my five children and an amazing display of brownies from Nerys of Cardigan Bay Brownies.
My daughter and her new husband stayed up to welcome an amazing Penlan sunset but I have to say that Gareth and I did not make that!!!
So much work but an amazing day and what a start for a young couple.
