Description

vintage dresses 1960s 1960s St Michael (M&S) Poppy Cotton Day DressAn absolute peach of a 1960s cotton day dress. It's from the early end of the decade: you can see the influence of the 50s in the shape, while that mod orange poppy print with brown leaves is pure 60s kitchen kitsch at its best. You could really wear it any time of year but we think it has a wonderful autumnal vibe. The fabric on this one is special. A high count weave cotton, fab quality, and the colours still pop like new. An absolute peach of a 1960s cotton day dress. The brand on the tag is, St Michael a clothing label used by Marks & Spencer back in the day.

It's a flattering shape, with princess seams on the bodice front and back and graceful Dolman/grown on sleeves, which give it lovely lines. The dress closes with a side lapped metal zip fastening and comes with curved shape coord belt and large white buckle.

Miss Barbara is wearing a pair of gloves from our authentic vintage collection. Coming soon to the website.

The skirt is full enough to accommodate a petticoat: that's how we've styled it here, although it's not included in this listing. You can see our full petticoat collection here.

CONDITION

Comes with original belt and belt loops: there is a small split on bottom of belt buckle. We can replace the buckle with one that is period appropriate free of charge if desired by buyer - message us at checkout for options. There is a small repair expertly made by our seamstresses under the arm directly above zip (invisible when worn) otherwise this piece is in excellent wearable condition.

Beautiful
Format: Paperback
Not as I expected, I kinda was hoping for more of a storyline connected to the first book, or even a pt2, but nonetheless still such a beautiful book filled with love and I definitely say it’s worth reading and adding to your collection ! Just to clarify it does included the old characters but mainly not till the end, and only for a few chapters. Still so wonderful !

I wanted more
Format: Kindle
This one fell a little flat. The ending felt rushed after so much build up. I still am happy to have read it and to learn more about the LGBTQIA experience - even if fictional.

Not as good as the prequel but still amazing
Format: Hardcover
This book made me laugh cry and everything in between. In my opinion, Last Night at The Telegraph Club was a better book overall but this one was also good and i love the way the prequels story was connected to this books main character. I will say the beginning is a bit dry but it picks up towards the middle, stick with it!

Breathtaking
Format: Kindle
A fantastic coming of age story about a young woman finding love for the first time while spending the summer before college with her grandmother. She also manages to reconnect with her artistic side as she spends time with her grandmother, who is a fairly well known artist. Though it is subtle, I felt that the interplay between the scientists heading off to MIT to study planetary science and the artist trying to figure out whether the abstract painting she was working on was still "speaking to her" or just something she messed up is the tension that drives a good portion of Aria's story.
