Aspidistra will thrive even it receives no direct sunlight, making it one of the few options for such spots. When planting in a container, it is perfectly ok to buy two or three 1 gallon plants and jam them close together to form one large clump, since this is how plants grow naturally.

Please give it as a gift to ever middle grader you know. Stunning. Well paced, and full of heart and grit. I look forward to more books from Ash. I believe anything they write will be worth my time. I imagine they can write a powerful YA, in addition to MG. Their style lends itself to capturing humanity on many levels. Big fan!

Cozy, thoughtful, and grounded in a strong sense of place, this story beautifully balances magic with big feelings and growth.
